Who are we
We are a family business. Our tourist work began in 1990, enchanted with the
natural surroundings, the beautiful landscapes and the warmth of the people you
feel when arriving to this zone. We decided then to build the great large old
house "Chancerel", in the name of our mother Rosario Ibáñez Chancerel, in the
city of Puerto Varas in the South of Chile. Native wood and architectonic motifs
and details from the German first settlers were used and considered in the
building and decoration of the house. The façade and the interior of our Hostel
are admired by our visitors as well as our customized, friendly and high quality
service. We are located in a privileged surroundings that mix the natural
enchantments and the city.
Our goals and objectives are to continue growing physically, in such a way that
we can serve many more guests during the year, and that the service and the
comfort continue being the fundamental aspect in Chancerel.
We are the first company of Puerto Varas certified under the present tourist
norm of lodgings NCh 2960 in the category of "TOURIST SUPERIOR", the highest for
our class and defined by 3 stars. Our service is reflected in the dedication to
our guests, as a serious company concerned to improve day after day.
Our mission is to provide a friendly and high quality service to the Guest, this
is more than a work to do every day, it is a commitment to the guest and it is
fundamental for the maintenance of the company’s image. The spirit of the
mission is carried out in all the areas of the business thus, looking for the
total satisfaction of our guests.
We wish to continue being the people’s preference at any time of the year. We
invite all those people from around the world to know charming green landscapes
next to the Llanquihue Lake and many touristic attractions that will surprise
them. In addition, we invite all those tourists who have come and lived the
experience of being in loved with the place, to return to rest and enjoy a good
moment.
